Primary Rug Backing fabric is a tufting gun, punch needle, and rug hooking foundation fabric. If you are punching by hand with a punch needle or tufting with a tufting gun you need the proper backing fabric. This is the same backing used by professional rug makers. *If using a tufting gun this is stronger than monks cloth and I highly recommend this over monks cloth for tufting, this is made for tufting with tufting guns* IMPORTANT Please read all sizes and all details below. With equal warp and weft this makes the perfect punching backing. Backing is soft and feels smooth on the hands. This fabric can be stretched onto a tufting frame or even used in an embroidery hoop.
Backing is made of 100% polyester thus making it durable so it will last for years to come. Edges do NOT come surged. They can be surged by you or even just a straight stitch to keep the ends from unraveling.
This fabric will NOT work with small punch needles that take embroidery floss. It is for larger punch needles that take yarn. Such as worsted weights and larger. Also, used for tufting.

Select "1/2" for a half of a sq yard - 1/2 sq yard is 36"x18"
Select "1" for one sq yard - 1 sq yard is 36"x36"
Select "2" for 2 sq yards - 2 sq yards is 36"x72"
Select "3" for 3 sq yards - 3 sq yards is 36"x108"

We do not offer exchanges if you've ordered the wrong size for your frame or project. If you have questions about any fabrics message us first before ordering. Fabric is pre cut and packed to size. If you order two individual yards you will receive two individual packaged yards. If you you need a continuous cut of 2 yards you will need to convey that in messages first to make sure it is even available. Once fabrics have been opened they are exposed to dust, dander, pet hair, smoke, or more. We cannot take them back. Thanks for your understanding.
